Our teams practice twice a week, with each practice lasting 2 hours. Practices typically begin between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM and end between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM, depending on your team's assigned practice time. We do not hold practices on Wednesdays.
Practices are mandatory, as they are essential to each athlete's development and the team's success. We understand that unexpected situations may arise. If your athlete needs to miss a practice, we ask that you communicate with your head coach as soon as possible. Prior communication is expected for all absences whenever possible.
-
Athlete memberships run from 9/1/26-8/31/27.
If looking to obtain a new AAU athlete membership, wait until 8/15/26 to apply for a membership that will begin 9/1/26. Athletes need an AAU ID for tryouts, clinics, or other WPVA events.
If an athlete is placed on a team after tryouts their membership will then be added to our club.

No. While we would love to offer a spot to every athlete, team placement is based on skill level, effort, coachability, and roster needs. Our goal is to create teams where each player can develop, compete, and have a positive experience. We encourage all athletes to give their best at tryouts, and we appreciate everyone who comes out to be part of the WPVA family.
-
Every athlete on our teams will have the opportunity to play throughout the season, and we strive to ensure each player sees the court during every tournament. However, playing time is not divided equally among all athletes and will vary from match to match.
Playing time is earned and is based on several factors, including an athlete's effort, attitude, commitment, and performance during practices. Volleyball is also a rotational sport, so court time can vary depending on team rotations, matchups, game situations, and positional needs.
Attendance is another important factor.
Our goal is to develop every athlete while also putting the team in the best position to compete. Coaches make playing time decisions based on what they believe gives the team the greatest opportunity for success while continuing to support the growth and development of every player throughout the season.

No. Once a player has accepted a roster spot and tuition payments have begun, refunds are not available. By committing to a team, we reserve a spot, hire coaches, register for tournaments, purchase uniforms, and make other season-related commitments based on each athlete's participation.
We appreciate your understanding and encourage families to carefully consider their commitment before accepting a roster spot. If you have questions about our policies, we're always happy to discuss them before registration is completed.

We work hard to keep our tuition as affordable as possible while still providing a high-quality club volleyball experience. A big part of that is made possible through the generous support of our club sponsors, whose contributions help offset program costs and allow us to keep tuition lower for our families.
Each season, we also host a club-wide fundraiser, with all proceeds going directly toward reducing overall club expenses and helping keep tuition costs as low as possible for all of our families.
If you or a business you know is interested in supporting West Polk Volleyball Academy, we'd love to partner with you! Please visit our Sponsors page or contact us to learn more about becoming a sponsor.
